ABOUT:

I know how much you love your child and want them to be successful.  The entertainment industry can be a challenging and mysterious place. Now you can become better informed, learn how to protect your child, and help them achieve their goals in an informative and truly unique 2-day weekend workshop.

My experience first as a child actor, an acting coach for over 20 years (many years coaching kids and teens), and a casting director for the past 10 years, has given me great insight into this business called show.

In this fun and inspiring 2-day workshop, you will learn:

  1. the secrets of coaching your child for their auditions - the very tools I use daily in my classes and private coachings to help actors of all ages get great feedback, more callbacks, and better still, more bookings!

  2. the ins and outs of auditions - everything from preparation, your child's rights, what to expect and what is expected of you, callbacks, producer's sessions, network and studio meetings, getting put on tape, and more

  3. what happens when your child is hired - from contracts and negotiations to set protocol

  4. the business of acting - what it means to be a professional working actor, marketing yourself, the tools and techniques of acting, and the all-important pictures and resumes

  5. other resources for information and knowledge

  6. Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with your agent/manager

  7. Explaining the difference between and agent and manager

We'll wrap things up with an open Q&A session with another casting director, two children’s agents and myself.

This isn't just a lecture - it's a hands-on workshop where you get to put all of your new skills to the test in real-world situations.
